Organique Acai Premium Blend: Your partner for healthy Holy Week

April 18, 2022 8:05 p.m.

The Holy Week is a great opportunity for us to take some time for ourselves and focus on our wellness, both spiritual and physical.

While it is great to fast, another option that we can do alongside it is to do a body cleanse or detox. In fasting, we abstain from having certain meals or drinks, or even abstain from certain habits such as social media or overspending.

However, cleansing focuses more on controlling our food and drink to take care of our body. This is why fasting from certain foods or drinks is said to be good for our health, since sometimes, we end up minimizing our intake of unhealthy foods as we fast.

Body cleansing or a body detox involves decreasing our intake of fatty, sugary, and salty foods for a set period of time (such as 1 week), and making sure to replace these with more fruits and vegetables.

Other things we can do during a cleanse are drinking more water, getting more sleep, and even doing some light exercise. Dr. Sonny Viloria, an Integrative Medical Specialist from Biovitale Holistic Center, suggests that we can gradually reduce our food intake for the first 3 days, take only water, soup, or some nuts on the 4th, then gradually increase our food intake again for the last 3 days of our cleanse.

On the last day, we can eat the same amount of food we usually eat again. Doing this, he says, makes sure that our systems can adjust to our new eating habits.

It is important to remember that cleansing is not full abstinence of food and drink – you can still have fish, vegetables, and rice, just don’t overeat or starve yourself.

Anyone can do a body cleanse, unless you have health complications such as severe diabetes, cancer, or are a senior citizen.

The patient must be physically active and healthy, since one can feel weak at first because of the lack of energy from usual foods such as meat and carbohydrates. The timing of your cleanse can also vary depending on your diet – if you eat a lot of meat and processed foods, you might want to do it every 3 months; however, if you are vegan or vegetarian, you can do your body cleanse every 6 months.

Don’t forget to monitor your vital stats, such as cholesterol, blood pressure, and blood sugar while doing your cleanse; this can help show you how much your cleanse has made you healthier.

Many people who do a cleanse or detox say that they experience less bloatedness, improvement in sleep and skin appearance, and generally feel more healthy.

This is because in cleansing, we try to remove the accumulated toxins we get from what we eat, and make it easier for our body to fight bacteria and viruses.

This is why it is recommended to take food supplements such as Organique Acai Premium Blend while doing your cleanse.

The mix of antioxidants and vitamins help strengthen your body and help it better absorb vitamins and minerals from a healthy diet. It also helps give energy and sustains the health of vulnerable patients, such as senior citizens or those with heart problems. It is safe, even for those taking medicines.
